Obituary for Melvin Grubbs Jr.
Barnwell SC Melvin Grubbs Jr. 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Pruitt Healthcare of Barnwell. Mr. Grubbs was born in Barnwell County on November 27, 1924. He was the son of the late Melvin Grubbs Sr. and Aggie Still Grubbs. He was a retired mechanic with the SC State School Bus Shop in Blackville. He was an army veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bert Baynham and Rev. Jerry Fail officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Survivors include his loving wife, Louise Gibson Grubbs of Barnwell and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and seven sisters.
