Obituary for Michael O'Keith Collins
Barnwell SC Michael O'Keith Collins, 61, passed away Wednesday, December4, 2013. Mike was born in Orangeburg SC on May 13, 1952. He was a son of Theron S. and Marie Boyd Collins. He retired from the US Air Force as a MSGT with 24 years of service. He later retired from BAE Systems as an aircraft engineer. He was predeceased by his first wife, Evie Beard Collins. Mike loved his family dearly and will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Richard McWhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Saturday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include his devoted wife, Eloisa Lopena Collins of Barnwell; his parents, Theron and Marie Collins of Barnwell; son Michael Hugh (Alisha) Collins of Savannah GA.; daughters, Sheree (Elvis) Gonzales of Chesapeake Bay VA. and Chelsea Marie Collins of Barnwell; brother, Eric (Jayne) Collins of Ona WVA.; sister, Cynthia (Tony) Towne of Barnwell; five grandchildren.
