Obituary for Oneal Croft
Oneal Croft, 94, of Barnwell, SC passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Oneal was born on July 18, 1930, and was the oldest son of the late Norris O. and Essie Brown Croft. He was employed by National Fastner of Barnwell, Riteway Machine Shop and retired as Maintenance Manager for the Allendale Barnwell Counties Disabilities & Special Needs Board, and later (at 80) from Barnwell County Recycle Center. Oneal loved his family enormously and looked forward to any celebration that they could gather and all be together. Oneal was a faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Christian Church where he served as Deacon for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Mt. Lebanon Christian Church with Rev. Ron Franklin, and Rev. Jeffrey Ray officiating. Graveside will be held in the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 268 Barnwell, SC 29812 or to a charity of one’s choice.
Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Betty Still Croft, Daughters, Harriett (Frankie) Creech of Barnwell, Kay (David) Summers of Branchville and Son, Doug (Jodi) Croft of Barnwell; grandchildren, Branna (Nathan) Birt, Scott (Sheryl) Creech, Heather (Phillip) Williams, Megan (Richie) Peterson, and Chad Croft; ten great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Oneal was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Roger Dale Croft.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Scott Creech, Clay Birt, Chad Croft, Nathan Birt, Tanner Williams, and Travis Croft.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to caregivers, Mary Ray, of Circle of Love, and Justin Folk for the compassionate and professional care they provided to Oneal and to the staff of Agape Hospice for the love and support they provided.
