Obituary for Paul Hammonds Kinard
Paul Hammonds Kinard, 73, of Snelling, went to be with his Lord on November 2, 2019 at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born in Williston, SC on February 25, 1946. He was the son of the late Marcell Archie and Ruby Edna Laird Kinard. He worked at Shuron for many years, until the company closed. He then became the self-employed owner of Kinard’s Auto in Snelling, where he specialized in carburetor work. He was an active member of Seven Pines Baptist Church where he served as the Video and Sound system operator. Paul voluntarily served the Town of Snelling as a member of the Snelling Fire Department for 41 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. When the weather was nice, you could find him on his tractor plowing, on his backhoe digging, in deer stand hunting, or on a bank somewhere fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Mole Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Seven Pines Baptist Church in Snelling with Pastor Mark Watford officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Sheryl Hill Kinard and daughter, Jennifer (Bobby) Heltibridle, all of Snelling; Step-son, Mark (Lori) Baxley, of Beech Island, SC; Sister, Delores K. (Raymond) Black of Williston; five grandchildren, Kaylin Kinard, Kobey Ardis, and Isabel, Shelby, and Ashby Heltibridle, all of Barnwell; Mother in Law, Claire Carroll, of Barnwell, and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by 2 beloved sons, Johnathan Micheal Kinard, an infant, and Daniel Paul Kinard; brothers, O’neal, Archie, Lesley, and Marvin Kinard, all of Barnwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Seven Pines Baptist Church.
Serving as pall bears will be Bryan Kinard, Ross Kinard, Kyle Kinard, Mike Kinard, Johnny Kinard, Alex Kinard, Jerry Hodge, and Dennis Brabham.
