Obituary for Peggy Elizabeth Long Lott
Peggy Elizabeth Long Lott, 73, passed away on December 9, 2021 in Columbia, SC.
Peggy was bornin Charleston, SC on March 27, 1948 to the late Willie Samuel and Gladys Elizabeth Mayers Long. She was a lifelong member of calvary Baptist Church. She graduated from Barnwell Highschool where she was a member of the Scarlett Knights Marching Band. She retired from the Barnwell County DHEC. Peggy was a member for over 30 years with The Order of The Eastern Star Harmony Hope #229 Barnwell where she held many offices such as the Past District Deputy for the 11th District, Past Worthy Matron of Harmony Hope #229, and she was the current Grand Representative of Ohio in South Carolina. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 2:00PM in Calvary Baptist Church in Barnwell, with Rev. Dean Deer officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road with Eastern Star Rite. The family will greet guest at the church one hour prior to the service.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles B. Lott of the home, sons, Chris (Julie) Lott of Lexington, SC, and Clint (Jan) Lott of Williston, SC, grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) Lott of Lexington, SC, Gabryelle (Michael) Jimenez of Lexington, SC, Will Lott of Lexington, SC, Justin (Helena) Lott of Barnwell, Jasper Lott, Jeb Lott, Josiah Lott, and Joseph Lott of Williston, SC, great granddaughter, Zoey Lott of Lexington, SC. She was predeceased by a brother, Willie Marion Long and many aunts and uncles.
