Peggy Still Williams, 93, passed away peacefully at her home on October 19th, 2025. She was born in Hilda, SC on August 29th, 1932 to the late Ansel R. Still and Susie Mae Hutto Still.
She and her husband Wallace were married on July 6th, 1952. They immediately moved to Rocky Mount, NC. In early 1954, they moved to Haines City, FL and then to Davenport, FL in 1959 where they resided until June 2004 when they returned to her childhood home in Hilda.
While living in Florida, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Haines City; an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, achieving the office of Worthy Matron. She served as Treasurer of Davenport Elementary PTA during the years her children attended school. She also worked as an Executive Secretary for the General Manager at Haines City Citrus Growers Association. She enjoyed hosting family and friends with deliciously prepared meals and baked goods. Shopping was her favorite pass time, especially for her children and grandchildren at Christmas time. She loved her Lord and her family more than anything else in the world.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Barbi) Williams, Marcia Crawford, and Thomas (Cryssi) Williams; sister Addie Sue Ficken; brother Roy Allen Still; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, as well as 4 great-great grandchildren, with one more due in January.
She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 59 years, Martin Wallace Williams; as well as her grandson, Andrew “Andy” Richardson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church, with funeral services following at 12:00 PM. Rev. Harry Warren will be officiating. Graveside will follow in the Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.
