Obituary for Phyllis Helton Tucker
Phyllis Helton Tucker, 85, of Barnwell, SC passed away October 14th, 2022.
She was born July 16th, 1937, in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Jessie C Helton and Stella Jane Helton. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was a lover of watching the birds and nature that surrounded her house. Phyllis was an accomplished artist, as well as a magnificent cook and baker. She shared her wonderful creations with many people in Barnwell.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Elton Tucker of Barnwell, SC; son Michael “Mike” (Lynn) Tucker of Lexington, SC; granddaughter Erin Tucker of Columbia, SC; grandson Ethan Tucker of Lexington, SC; and brother J.C. Helton of Savannah, GA. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jennie Thames.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, from 5 PM – 7 PM at Mole Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 19th, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery at 2 PM. Mole Funeral Home is assisting the family.
