Obituary for Rachael Rountree Sargent
Barnwell SC Rachael Virginia Rountree Sargent, 62, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her home. Rachael was born in Barnwell County on May 13, 1953. She was a daughter of the late Kite and Sallie Mae Atkinson Rountree. She was a member of Seven Pines Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in the Seven Pines Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Watford and Rev. Billy Mew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Richard Melvin Sargent Sr. of Barnwell; son, James Franklin Rountree of Barnwell; step sons, Richard M. Sargent Jr. and Jeremy Sargent of Barnwell; step daughters, Tammi Arnold and Stephanie Sargent of Barnwell; foster children, Tiffany Williams, Amber Williams and Wesley Williams of Barnwell; brother, Perry Rountree of Barnwell; sisters, Cora Bragg, Mary Lee (James) Plunk and Marie Rountree of Barnwell; eleven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
