Obituary for Ralph Wilson Willis
Funeral services for Ralph Wilson Willis, 71, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Barnwell First Baptist Church with Rev Keith Richardson and Rev. Billy Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery at the airport. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 pm at Mole Funeral Home. Ralph was born in Charleston SC on November 3, 1942. He was the son of the late H W and Mabel Allen Willis. He was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, as sound tech. and cooked breakfast monthly for the men of the church. He was a Silver Beaver in the Boy Scouts, charter member of the Barnwell Rescue Squad, cooked for the Ellenton Agriculture Club for 20 years, member of the Hardee"s Breakfast Club and the Monthly Men's Breakfast Club. Survivors include his wife, Alice Birt Willis of Barnwell; daughter, Melody (Cliff) Bontrager of Barnwell; son, Birt (Rebecca) Willis of Williston; Father in law, WH Dyches of Barnwell; brother, Danny L. (Emily) Willis of Lexington; sisters, Sandra (Wayne) Reed of Orangeburg, and Allyn S Willis of Irmo; grandchildren MaLynn (Cody) Ray, Spencer Bontrager, Emily Willis and Andrew Willis; great grandchild, Riley Ray.
