Obituary for Richard Robert Laird
Richard Robert Laird, 78, entered into eternal rest on March 18, 2015 and is rejoicing in heaven with the love of his life Bonnie. Richard was born on March 31, 1936 in Old Ellenton SC. He was a son of the late Lee Bryant "Buck" Laird Sr. and Henrietta Ferguson Laird. He was a retired farmer and a member of Ashleigh Baptist Church. Richard was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, Carolina football and watching wrestling. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday at Mole Funeral Home. He is survived by his children Ricky (Kelli) Laird of Barnwell, Connie (Butch) Storey of Graniteville, Deborah Carpenter (Joe Whittle)of Wagner, Frankie Rogers (Charles Simpson) of New Ellenton, Becky (Jerry) Bowen of Olar and Robin (Brian) Cole of Aiken; fifteen grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and ten great- great grandchildren. He is also survived by his constant companion Rusty whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his brother Lee Bryant Laird Jr. and a grandchild Courtney Edgerly and his first wife Mary Miller.
