Obituary for Robert William "Bob" Mixon
Robert William "Bob" Mixon, 67, passed away at his home on December 19, 2916. Bob was born in Augusta Georgia on July 12, 1949 and was the son of the late Ray B Mixon Sr. and Edith Sessions Mixon. He was a graduate of Barnwell High School and an army veteran having served with the US Army Security Agency in the Aleutians Islands. He was a former employee of SCDOT and became the loving caretaker of his parents until their passing. He was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church. Bob was a sweet and gentle soul who cared and looked after others. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday at the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road with Rev. Keith Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:15 until 10:45 at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include his brothers, Ray B. (Janice) Mixon Jr. of Cayce SC and Carl F. (Sandra) Mixon of Martinez Georgia, nieces and nephews, Rhonda Mixon (Rick) Burgess, Kevin C. (Kem) Mixon, Kristin Mixon (Jamie) Saleeby, Kathryn Mixon, Jacquelyn Melissa Mixon (Brett) Belding, 6 great nephews and three great nieces Special friends, Barney Mazursky, Kevin Morris, Cara Moulder, Beatrice Graham and his two cats, Jasper and Lucky.
