Obituary for Ronald George Abbott
Ronald G. Abbott, 80, born in New York on May 16th, 1944, passed away peacefully at home on August 7th, 2024. He was a dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked at SRS as a truck driver for 28 years.
He is survived by three children, Todd (Melissa) Strock of Barnwell, SC, Robbie (Alicia) Strock of Barnwell, SC, and Holly (Stacey) Reese of Gibson, GA; six grandchildren, Brooke Strock, Jaime (McKenzie) Strock, Candace (Eldon) Kennedy, Josh Strock, Preston (Jordan) Reese, and Tiffany (Adam) Martin; five great-grandchildren Jadyn Bolton, Kensley Bolton, Caden Kennedy, Callie Kennedy, and Adeline Martin; two sisters-in-law Charlotte (Ray) Sweatman, and Judy (Danny) Mishoe, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy M. Abbott, his mother and father.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 12th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Seven Pines Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Clarkson officiating.
