Obituary for Roneldo Garcia "Ron" Franco
Barnwell SC Roneldo "Ron" Garcia Franco, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born in Tynan Texas on October 19, 1946. He was the son of Martina Garcia Franco and the late Heriberto Franco. He was a graduate of Brazosport College and was an army veteran of the Vietnam war where he received the bronze star, purple heart, the air medal and the army commendation medal. He was employed with Energy Solutions in the security department. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, May 19, 2013 in the Mole Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Watford officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery with military honors accorded. Survivors include his mother, Martina G Franco of Skidmore Texas; daughters, Sandra Franco of Barnwell and Shirley (John) Ferguson of Allendale; grandchildren, Parker and Collin Ferguson and Daniel Franco; seven brothers and two sisters.
