Obituary for Rose Ellen Dicks Price
Rose Ellen Dicks Price, 63, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving family Monday, September 5, 2016. Rosie was born on November 1, 1952 in Augusta Georgia. She was a daughter of Corrie Lee Gordon Dicks and the late William Horace Dicks Jr. Rosie was a devoted follower of her Savior, a lover of music and nature, faithful wife, nurturing mother, proud grandmother, and a kind neighbor to all. Rosie had faith unwavering and she spent her life fulfilling her calling as a servant of Christ. She was a talented pianist and was equally gifted with a beautiful singing voice, both of which she shared to bring glory to God. Rosie loved God's creation, treasured it, wrote passionately about nature and strived to protect the earth for future generations. She was married to her husband Larry for nearly 39 years and built a home, raised two children and laid a firm foundation for her two grandchildren, who adored her. Rosie never met a stranger and she treated each person with respect and kindness. She loved her family dearly and she will be missed by us all. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10:00AM in the Barnwell First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Mole Funeral Home. Memorials in Rosie"s name may be made to Samaritan's Purse, Clean Water Projects, PO Box 3000, Boone NC 28607 Survivors include her husband, H. Larry Price of Williston; daughter, Laura Price Brochin of Spartanburg; son, Matthew Price of Charleston; mother, Corrie Lee Dicks of Barnwell; sister, Lynn (David) Worley of Augusta Ga.; brothers, Billy (Peggy) Dicks of North Augusta and Tony (Debra) Dicks of Barnwell; grandchildren, Will Brochin and Olivia Brochin.
