Obituary for Rose Emelyn Blanton Turner
Rose Emelyn Blanton Turner, 95, widow of William Bush Turner, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Barnwell, SC. Rose was born on July 23, 1920, in Gaffney, SC to the late William Pinkney and Rosa Lee Smith Blanton. Her many friends in the Barnwell area appreciated her sense of humor, her empathy for others, and her sharpness at the Bridge table. She was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church. Rose's faith in God was her foundation; the First Baptist Church was her home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00AM in the Barnwell United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Keith Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 10:45 AM Saturday at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughter Anna Lee (Hugh Jeffers) Turner of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Emily Turner Jeffers and H. Ervin Jeffers. She was predeceased by a daughter Emelyn Bush Turner.
