Obituary for Roswitha "Rose" L. Hammet
Mrs. Roswitha "Rose" Leipert Hammet, 63, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Rose was born on November 20, 1951 in Augsburg Germany. She was a daughter of Harold Timmis and the late Marianne Hermann Grubbs. She was a member of the Barnwell Church of Christ. Rose will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 3 pm in the Barnwell Church of Christ with Dr. Terry Gunnells officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery at the airport. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 pm in the Barnwell Church of Christ social hall, 60 Bomway St. Barnwell SC 29812 Survivors include her husband Homer Hammet Jr. of Barnwell, SC; father, Harold Timmis of Union SC; sons, Ronald Eugene (Dana) Hammet of Windsor SC and Christopher Lee (Stephena) Hammet of Barnwell SC; daughter, Zilphia Ann (Kenny) Hutto of Barnwell SC; grandchildren, Ashley Hammet, Kodie Still, Justin Hammet, Tyler Hutto, C.J. Hammet, Dakota Hammet, Joseph Hammet, Wayne Hutto, Eilzabeth Reid, Brian Hutto and Josi Hutto; great grandchild, Holicyn Stoudemire.
