Obituary for Rugie Hall Britt
Barnwell SC Mrs. Rugie Hall Britt, 90, widow of Rev. Glenn Britt passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 surrounded by her loving children. Mrs. Britt was born on September 16, 1925 in Salley SC. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Irvin and Jennie Walker Hall. She was a graduate of the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at the Barnwell County Nursing Home for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the Hagood Ave. Baptist Church where she taught the Corene Cheek Sunday School Class for approximately 20 years. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed providing for them especially through her joy for cooking. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 3 pm pm in the Hagood Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Catoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak View Cemetery in Salley SC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include her children, Sam (Sara) Britt, Tim (Teresa) Britt and Jennie (Glenn) Davis; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her loving husband she was predeceased by a son Philip Britt and siblings, Burts Hall, Cornelius Hall and Gyles Hall.
