Obituary for Sarah Marler Sanders
Sarah Marler Sanders, 78, widow of William T. Sanders, passed away July 24, 2021, in Williston, SC.
Sarah was born on July 11, 1943 in Opp, AL to the late Malcom Marler and Beatrice Williams Marler Eliand. After retiring from Chem Nuclear, she went to work for as a city Clerk for the town of Fairfax. She was a member of Olar First Baptist Church. Sarah loved gardening and flowers, she especially loved cooking for her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00AM in Starr Cemetery in Olar, with Rev. Dan Fogle officiating. The family will receive friends at Mole Funeral Home, Wednesday morning from 9:30 -10:30AM.
Sarah is survived by a son, Clay (Carolyn) Sanders of Olar, a grandson, William Sanders, sisters, Fran (Rick) Bronaugh of Hartselle, AL and Sylvia (Scott) Fight of Andalusia, AL, Nieces and nephews Andrea Powell (Josh) Walker, Haley Powell (Brian) Capps, Brian (Kelli) Johnson, Terry (Cindy) Harris, Jerry (Marlene) Harris, Jimmy (Karyl) Harris, Bobby Harris, and Gregg (Kelly) Harris. She was predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Sanders and a son Timmy Sanders.
