Obituary for Shawn Michael Fail
Shawn Michael Fail, 29, passed away on July 6th, 2023. He was born in Orangeburg, SC on March 16th, 1994 to parents Mickey Fail and Lynn Fail.
Shawn was a 2012 graduate of BHHS and 2014 graduate of O-C Tech where he earned an associate degree in science. He loved playing with his son Carter, fishing, hunting, and playing church softball. He was loved by many family members and friends.
He is survived by his father, Mickey Fail of Olar, SC; mother Lynn Fail (Brad Ayer) of Barnwell, SC; son Carter Fail; maternal grandparents Bobby Sanders of Olar, SC, and Mary Zorn of Olar, SC; as well as honorary sisters and brother, Kristen Waltz, Kayley Ayer, Isabelle Ayer, and Hayden Sargent.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Chlotilde Fail of Olar, SC.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 10th, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Mole Funeral Home. A secondary visitation will be held Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Baptist Church in Olar, SC, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dale Hutto will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Fail, Adam Fail, Trace Baxley, Daniel Elkins, Charlie Birt, and Jeffrey Baxley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Fail and Kevin Dickerson.
