Obituary for Tamala Lynette James Morris
Tamala Lynette (James) Morris, “Tammy” was born on December 26, 1963 in Columbia, SC. She was born to Billy James and Marilyn Glover, and graduated from Keenan Highschool. She received an Associates Degree in Accounting from Midlands Technical College.
Tammy married Chris Morris on September 21, 1990. Together they raised 3 daughters in Barnwell, SC before settling in Leesville, SC. Tammy peacefully passed away on June 29, 2022.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Christopher “Chris” Robert Morris; eldest daughter Amber Lynn Morris and four grandchildren Juelleyn Risher, Cheyanne Risher, Christian “Chance” Risher, and Londyn Pak; second daughter Heather Marie Morris and four grandchildren Jason Williams, Anthoney “Conner” Williams, Valeria Key, and Stella Key; youngest daughter Christine “Summer” Morris and two grandchildren Aubrey Stroman and Avalynn Stroman; Also surviving Tammy is her father Billy James; mother Marilyn Glover; step-mother Virginia “Ginger” Hall; grandmother Doris James; brothers Traye (Danette) James, Travis James, Chris (Krystal) James; and aunt, Susan Layton.
Tammy is predeceased by a baby brother Troy James; baby sister Baby Marilyn James; and grandfather W.C. James Sr.
Tammy worked as a professional Accountant and Homemaker. She was a talented seamstress and crafter and enjoyed gardening, baking, and capturing pictures of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Her favorite season was Summertime. She loved to walk barefoot where the cool ocean meets the warm beach sand and listen to the summer night sounds of frogs and crickets.
Tammy was a giver. She was always eager to help everyone in anyway that she could. She was gentle, compassionate, and kind. She knew God as her savior and loved everyone she met. Tammy leaves her most beloved friends and family with the most profound legacy of all, everlasting love.
Although she shines bright and her light lives on, the comfort and joy she brought to us all will be immensely missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 12:00PM in Friendship Baptist Church, visitation will start at 10:30AM in the church prior to the funeral. Graveside will be held in the church cemetery Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell is assisting the family with the arrangements.
