Thelma Creech Black, 89, widow of Mr. Herman Lloyd Black, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2020 in Barnwell, SC.
Ms. Thelma was born in Barnwell, SC on November 7, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Anna Gillam Creech. She was a retired employee of Shuron and a member of Double Pond Baptist Church. Ms. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed by her family and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00PM in Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Bart Kelley and Rev. Andy Sandifer officiating.
Ms. Black is survived by her daughters, Katie B. (Tim) McCormick of Blackville and Wanda B. (Jim) Harelson of Blackville, grandchildren, Nicole (Eric) Phillips, Brantley (Richard) Freeman, Heather (Michael) Peters, Kevin (Jill) McCormick, Katelyn (Ryan) Delk, Tori Towne and Nick Davis, and 21 great grandchildren. She was the last of 14 brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International, Barnwell Camp, P.O. Box 86, Williston, SC 29853.
