Obituary for Thomas Glenn Rice
Thomas Glen Rice, 47, passed away of natural causes on February 1, 2019 at his home.
Glen was born on October 10, 1971 in Richland County and was a son of the late Carl O’Conner and Sybil Laverne Cook Rice. He was a law enforcement officer having served as an investigator with the Barnwell City Police Department and was currently servicing as a deputy with the Bamberg County Sherriff’s Department. He was also a firearms instructor for law enforcement officers.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the Barnwell First Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Baynham officiating. Burial with Law Enforcement Honors at the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include his sons Blane G Rice and Zane Rice of Williston; brother, Carl O. Rice of Aiken and sisters, Kathy Lidstone of Barnwell and Teresa Green of Columbia. He was predeceased by a son, Slade Anthony Rice.
