Obituary for Travis Green
Travis Michael Green passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born February 22, 1967, he was the son of Sharon and Michael Green of Spartanburg. Travis graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1985 where he played football for the Vikings. He also received an associated degree in welding from Spartanburg Technical College. He retired from Freightliner Custom Chassis in Gaffney, SC with over 30 years of service.
Travis is survived by his wife, Owens Bradley Green, his sons Hance(16) of the home and Hunter(24) of Moore,SC. A sister, Cindy Green Willard(Grant) of Columbia, SC, niece, Sims Willard and nephew, Will Willard of Columbia,SC, niece, Jane Anthony(Aaron) of Baltimore, MD and great nephew Jayson Anthony. Also grieving are his in-laws. Mother-in-law, Jane O. Bradley of Barnwell, SC, sister-in-law Marianne Lokey(Rob) of Macon GA, brother in law, Todd Bradley of St. Helena Island, SC.
Travis was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved fishing trips and visiting Edisto Island with his dogs Stone, Lily and Eddy. He loved high school football and watching Duke Blue Devils basketball.
His family has many special friends that helped through his 4 1/2 year battle with cancer. A special thank you to Don and Lisa Rodgers, Mickey and Sunshine Taylor, Stephen and Jeanie Bolton, Chip and Kelly Ferguson, Scott and Jennifer Duggins, Hope Warren, Tammy and Jeff Wingo, Lanie and Rodney Kimbrell, Curtis and Betty Hogg, Matthew and Heather Connelly, Bill Price and Brandy Birch.
Special thanks to his wonderful oncologist, Sharm Mehta, who was a blessing to our family and to Spartanburg Regional Hospice.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
