Obituary for William Thomas Hooker
William Thomas Hooker, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 2,2021.
Mr. Hooker was born in Columbia, SC on September 9, 1944. He was a son of the late Thomas William Hooker and Annie Mae Neil Hooker. He was a former pressman with The State Newspaper and retired a manager of Turner’s Bait and Tackle Shop. He was an avid fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and had fun joking with them. He was of the Baptist faith.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his loving wife, Bessie I. Hooker; sons, Charles K. Turner and Gordon M. Turner; daughter, Tammie Darlene Hiers; brother, Harry Joe (Rhonda) Hooker and sister, Betty Jo Stanton; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchldren.
