Obituary for Willie Jean Freeman
Willie Jean Bessinger Freeman, our loving mother, died peacefully at her home surrounded by here loved ones on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Willie Jean was born to the late William and Bertha Bessinger on November 24, 1935. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed Flea Markets, yard sales, auctions, decorating, spending time in the yard, working hard to provide for her children, her coffee and most of all her family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 1 pm in the Hilda First Baptist Church with Rev. Rommie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at Mole Funeral Home from 6-8 pm.
She leaves behind one daughter, Mable (Kenny) Barfield; three sons, Billy (Janice) Freeman, David (Nina) Freeman and Gerald Freeman; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Julian) Baxley and Jeanette Brant; three brothers, James (Cheryl) Bessinger, Jimmy (Debra) Bessinger and Gene Autry (Irene) Bessinger. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hammond Freeman, two sons, Joe Roger Freeman and Bobby Earl Freeman, sisters, Margaret Mitchum, Evelyn Cook and Dora Mitchum, and brother, Bubba Bessinger.
The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Edisto Homecare and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Avery special thanks to Mrs. Helen Long for taking time to care for our Mom and the family. All the long hours she put in will never be forgotten, and to another special lady, “Smokey”. Both of these ladies will always have a special place in our family’s heart. What a blessing these two were. Mom loved these ladies dearly.
