Obituary for Woodrow Wilson Jones
Woodrow Wilson Jones, 101, of Lodge SC passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Pruitt Health of Barnwell SC.
Mr. Jones was born on December 28, 1918 in Ashton SC. He was a son of the late Voyle Willard and Leila Cummings Jones. He was a real estate broker and a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Lodge United Methodist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2 pm in the Ashton Cemetery, Ashton SC with Rev. Chris King officiating. The family will greet friends after the services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ashton Cemetery Fund % Dr. Marshall Jones, 1749 Confederate Hwy., Lodge SC 29082.
Survivors include his children; Danny (Cindy) Jones of Barnwell SC, Jennifer (Danny) Saylor of Barnwell, SC and Barbara Jones of Lodge SC; Brother, Dr. Marshall (Marian) Jones of Ashton SC; grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Jones of Gilbert SC, Ellen Jones of Irmo SC, Amy-Lauren Lum Won of Kauai, Dawn (Michael) Hope of Fairfax SC, Marc Saylor of Bluffton SC, Kevin (Ashley) Saylor of Mt Pleasant SC, LaJean (Wes) Dickey of Taylorsville GA, Hank (Alex) Alewine of Pulaski TN and Kit (Karen) Alewine of Simpsonville SC; nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Voyle Jones, Lamar Jones, Francis Jones, Donald Jones and Eulalie Jones Ackerman.
