Obituary for Nancy Dunger Grumbling
Nancy Dunger Grumbling, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Hilda, SC on June 18,2014. Nancy was born in Watsonville CA on January 18, 1937 to the late Georgia and Henry Dunger. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Hank Dunger and her life partner, James Emmons. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and auntie. She was also the unofficial "Mother" to others who were in need of her loving support and who knew her as Mama G. She is survived by her beloved children, Channon Grumbling and Rowlanda Grumbling McClain; granddaughters, Channa McClain and Roylene McClain; her great grandchildren, Ryan and Abbi; her brother, George Dunger; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephew; cousins Margaret Conniff, Gary Dunger, Barbara Crone, Donald Dunger and Susan Cooper; and her "adopted children" Cindy Woo Chambers Mello and John Too. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family; her love of her animals and her strong support for the advocacy of lost children and support for veterans. Arrangements will be announced at a later date. Mole Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans. "In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:23)."
