Obituary for Woodrow Still "Woody" Harrison
Bamberg SC paid obit Woodrow Still "Woody Harrison, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 24, 2014. Woody was born in Bamberg County on November 5, 1942. He was the son of the late Woodrow and Doris Still Harrison. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation. He was a US Army veteran of Viet Nam and served in the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and attended the Bamberg First Baptist Church. Woody was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and play golf. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3 pm in the Bamberg First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Lucas officiating. A private family burial will be held afterward. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Mole Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Bamberg First Baptist Church, PO Box 355, Bamberg SC 29843 or to the Meals on Wheels Program % Bamberg County Office on Aging, PO Box 6, Bamberg SC 29843. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hutto Harrison of Bamberg; daughters, Laurie Ann Harrison of Bamberg and Susie (Donald) Phillips of Charleston; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, D.P., Emma and Lily Phillips; brother, C.L. "Buddy" (Nancy) Harrison of Denmark; sisters, Kaye H. Addy of Irmo and Pamela H. (Hank) Eleazer of Cleveland SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn H. Ray of Denmark.
