Obituary for Jessie Elease Hair Maximiek
Barnwell SC Jessie Elease Hair Maximiek, 94, widow of John Maximiek passed away on Sunday February 21, 2016. Born in Orangeburg County on April 5, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Etheridge and Irvin A. Hair. She was a member of the Barnwell Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday 25, 2016 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 2757 Hwy 70, Barnwell SC with Henry Bowers and Gerald John officiating. Burial will follow in the Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Wednesday at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Maximiek, daughters, Merilyn Maximiek Bodiford, Darlene Maximiek Creech and Virginia M. (Richard) Amerson, all of Barnwell; brothers, Henry A. Hair of Nashville TN and Lavon Hair of Lawrenceville GA; sisters, Nadine H. Purvis of Barnwell and Effingham SC and Doris H. Whittington of Cayce SC; also a number of grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Kenneth Maximiek and siblings Ernest Stokes Etheridge, Charlie Eugene Hair Sr, Edwin Hammond Hair and a great grandson.
