Obituary for Ben (Tommy) Black
Ben Thomas "Tommy" Black, 79, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Born in Bamberg County on April 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Faucia Still Black. He was a retired Security guard for Augusta Fiberglass and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:00AM with Rev. Rommie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Survivors include his wife, Shelia B. Black, son, Andy Black of Barnwell, daughter, Julie (Robert) Powell of Orangeburg, grandchild, Victoria Atkinson of Orangeburg, sister, Arrie Guess of Blackville, brother, Pat (Janice) Black of Hilda, he was predeceased by a brother Herman Lloyd Black and a sister Sarah B. Guess.
