Obituary for Barbara Jean Halstead Briggs
Barbara Jean Halstead Briggs, 88, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 21, 2022 in the Pruitt Health of Barnwell SC.
Barbara was born in Madison , South Dakota on January, 21,1934. She was a daughter of the late Alfred and Jessie Marie Gass Halstead. She was a veteran of the Women’s Army Corp from 1956 until1959. She retired from the Barnwell Co. Hospital as head dietician. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 24,2022 at 3:00 pm in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery with Owen Ferguson officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Mole Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Morris, Ray Lewis, Toby Utsey, Kevin Still, Gregory Briggs and Mike Colquitt.
Survivors include her son, Gregory Nelson (Tammy) Briggs; daughter, Leigh Ann (Kevin) Still; grandchildren, Gregory Nelson (Heather) Briggs II, Jennifer Leigh Still and Ashley Michaela Still and great grandchild, Judson Chance Briggs.
