Obituary for Gene Wyman Sanders
Gene W. Sanders, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Monday, March 18, 2019.
Mr. Gene was born in Barnwell Co. on June 11, 1928 a son of the late E.J. and Cornelia Ready Sanders. He retired from E.I. DuPont at the Savannah Plant and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March21, 2019 at 11am in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rommie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Suzanne and Donnie Renew of Barnwell, SC; grandchildren, Kelli Laird, William Renew and Holly Nguyen; great grandchildren Austin, Tyler, Hunter, and Alex. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Florence Stevens Sanders.
